The Philosopher, the Dog and the Wedding

My latest graphic novel, The philosopher, the dog and the wedding became a bestseller in my homecountry within only a month of publication, got nominated for the Hypatia Price of the Society of Women in Philosophy and won the Storyworld Public Award and the Sophie Castille Award for best translation.

The book is about Hipparchia, one of the first female philosophers. She came from a rich family but chose to live a vagrant life. The deviant insights of this courageous woman from ancient Greece are still relevant today.

Translations
Translations are out in French, English and Spanish, and soon coming in Korean, Chinese, Albanees and Arabic. It was released in The Netherlands at the end of 2021.

New book

At the moment I am working on a new book. It’s about a philosopher again, but I rather not say yet which one, as it is still in its early stages. It will probably take at least a year until it’s finished.
