New book: about Socrates!

My latest book Wat is goed leven (What is a Good Life) is a graphic novel about the inspiring life and philosophy of Socrates. His ideas are still very relevant today.

The book got nominated for the Hypatia Price of the Society of Women in Philosophy, and sold over 10.000 copies within only a few months after release in my homecountry.

Translations
It will soon be translated in Spanish (Salamandra, 2026), Japanese (Kadensha, 2026), Korean (Open Books) and more to come…

The Philosopher, the Dog and the Wedding

My graphic novel, The philosopher, the dog and the wedding became a bestseller in my homecountry, won the Storyworld Public Award and the Sophie Castille Award for best translation and it got nominated for the Hypatia Price of the Society of Women in Philosophy.

The book is about Hipparchia, one of the first female philosophers. She came from a rich family but chose to live a vagrant life. The deviant insights of this courageous woman from ancient Greece are still relevant today.

Translations
Translations are out in French, English, Spanish, Korean, and Chinese, and soon coming in Albanees, Arabic and Basque. It was released in The Netherlands at the end of 2021.
